Taylor Swift releasing her new single “Me!” just a few days ago, but the video, which was dropped the same time the song hit streaming platforms, has already made history.
According to YouTube, Swift’s latest video — featuring Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie — has broken the record among solo artists when it comes to the most plays in a new upload’s first 24 hours. The video racked up 65.2 million views in just its first full day on the platform, easily beating the previous record holder, Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next.” With 65 million plays already and an unknown number of streams and purchases, “Me!” is expected to hit the Hot 100’s top 10.
“Me!” is the first single from Swift’s upcoming seventh full-length album, though she hasn’t yet shared the name of the record or when it will be released.
